Got Sketch #2 and a great weekend event!

So Club Got Sketch sketch #2 went live yesterday and I love it! Valerie Salmon does an awesome job with these sketches. This sketch had 9 photos!

Here's my take on the sketch. (sorry I cannot share the sketch with you) I was actually a bit worried to do a two-pager because it's been a while but this was a good challenge for me and I'm happy with my layout.
Supplies used: Core'dinations cardstock, Cuttleubug embossing folder, Imaginisce (patterned papers, i-rock tool to adhere Glam Rocks), Cricut machine and Birthday Bash cartridge, Paper Trunk (Black alpha letter stickers)

There's still time to play along & I'd love for you to join in on the fun as these sketches are just fabulous! Click HERE for more info. And the Got Sketch contributor team are having a wonderful time creating from these. I love all the different interpretations.

Do you live in the lower mainland area and are you looking for something to do this coming weekend? Then come to The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival in Abbotsford, BC April 1st & 2nd. There's a ton of exciting things to see and great classes to participate in as well.

Have a great day!

Paper Trunk goodness!

I had so much fun playing with the adorable embellishments that Wendy Hammer Designscreated to go along with the Paper Trunk Jellybean collection. They were just the perfect addition.

I created this page about one of our family traditions - Ice Cream Cone Day ... in honour of my Grandpa because he loved ice cream cones. I used the round embellishments with my name tags & design above the title. I also added one of the felt designs on my layout. The title I created with my Cricut using the Birthday Bash cartridge.

I also created this little card using one of the felt paisley designs - I decided to use it for a wing on the bird and added one of the round designs for the bird's eye.

Supplies used: Paper Trunk (Jellybean papers) Wendy Hammer Designs (felts & clay designs), Core'dinations cardstock, Black pen (American Crafts), Cricut, Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge, Spellbinders die (Bird), Chatterbox stamp, Divine Twine (Green)

All Play

It's that time again. My Stamp Box All Play - where the entire Design Team work on a challenge. This time our challenge was to create a background.

So this is what I came up with.

"You're a Star"
I stamped on the cream cardstock in green ink using the dotted line from the MSB Funky Flowers stamp set. I tried my best at making a grid design (not entirely that easy as that particular stamp isn't all that long but I went with it anyway! ;)) Then I stamped in turquuoise ink with the circle designed stamp from the same stamp set (Funky Flowers). I finished it off with a sentiment from the Seal It stamp set.

Supplies used: MSB stamps (Funky Flowers & Seal It), Core'dinations Cardstock, 3L (Foam squares), May Arts ribbon, Colorbox stamping inks

"Thanks Friend"
For this card I stamped with a yellow colored ink onto the yellow cardstock using a flower stamp & 3 other smaller designed stamps from the Funky Flowers stamp set. I really like the tone on tone effect. I then punched out the middle section of the cardstock. I stamped a design on the white cardstock (the base of the card) using a variety of stamps from the Funky Flowers set. To finish my card off I wrapped some white ribbon around the yellow cardstock and then adhered to the front of the white card using pop dots.

Supplies used: MSB stamps (Funky Flowers), Core'dinations cardstock, Offray (white satin ribbon), 3L (foam squares), Ink (Colorbox and Versacolor by Tsukineko)

Make sure to stop by the MSB blog today and check out all the amazing projects that the Design Team created! You'll love 'em!

All Paired Up!

Hi there!

Well, today we've got a fun post happening over at My Stamp Box blog.
Jaine & I were paired up together and had to come up with a fun stamping challenge. So we decided to give ourselves the challenge of stamping on anything BUT paper!

We had so much fun coming up with different ideas for what we could stamp on. Please make sure you head on over to the blog to see all of our examples and read about what stamps we used, etc.

Here's what I did.

For this card I stamped on a transparency using StazOn Black ink.
Supplies used: Core'dinations cardstock, MSB stamps (Oval Office), Making Memories (ribbon), EK Success (punches), Fiskars border punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder

For this card I stamped on some felt (a flower and the rectangle shape).
Supplies used: MSB stamps (Seal It and Funky Flowers), Core'dinations cardstock, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Imaginisce (striped paper), WRMK red stitched felt flower, American Crafts (mini brads), Making Memories (cream felt rectangle)

I stamped on canvas for this card.
Supplies used: MSB stamps (Funky Flowers), Colorbox ink pads, Divine Twine (turquoise), Core'dinations cardstock, Claudine Hellmuth Studio Sticky-Back Canvas, Imaginisce (striped paper)

And on this final card, I stamped again on canvas.
Supplies used: MSB stamps (Colorful Companions & Oval Office), Core'dinations cardstock, Claudine Hellmuth Studio Sticky-Back Canvas, Colorbox ink pads, EK Success border punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder

Paper with Pizazz

Hi there!

I hope you've been enjoying our mini blog hop from Imaginisce today! Have you been inspired by the projects you've seen today (and the past two days)? I sure hope so! There have been some wonderful projects & designs that the Imaginisce Design Team has created. I know that I'm always inspired.
Well, today over the at the Imaginisce blog you saw some peeks of our projects - our challenge today was to use our i-rock tools with the glam rocks and rhinestones on paper - projects of any kind from layouts, to banners, to cards!

I wanted to show everyone that it's such a simple way to add just that "little" bit of "extra" to your layouts with a few Glam Rocks added on to a layout. Here's what I created for the challenge:

"Laugh Often"
I used my Cricut for the title and circle design on this layout. I decided to use the glam rocks as embellishments around the circular design. Nothing fancy but it does add that "something-something".

Supplies used: Imaginisce (i-rock and pearl Glam Rocks, Animal Crackers paper, stickers and ribbon), Core'dinations cardstock, 3L (Foam squares), Cricut cartridge (Graphically Speaking), Fiskars border punch

"A Laua for a 10 year old"

On this page I embellished the number 10 (which was cut from my Cricut) with the pearl Glam Rocks. Then I made some scored lines on the Black Core'dinations cardstock and decorated the inner square with some colored Glam Rocks as well as some of the diecut flowers.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (i-rock tool and Glam Rocks in Color Fushion, Enchanted paper and die-cuts), Core'dinations cardstock, Cricut Cartridge (Graphically Speaking), 3L (foam squares), Paper Trunk (Black letter stickers), EK Success border punch)

"Let's Get Together"
I decided to use the Glam Rocks to add the "steam" from the coffee mug on this card. The mug was cut with my Cricut.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Apple Cider paper, i-rock tool and Glam Rocks in Metallic), Core'dinations Cardstock, twine, 3L (foam squares), Fiskars border punch

Thanks so much for stopping by. Now don't forget to leave a comment on each of the blogs you've visited today (including mine! ;)) and now head on back to the Imaginisce blog and leave a comment there for your chance to win some i-rock goodies of your own!!

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Are you wearing green today?? It's St. Patrick's Day and over at Imaginisce's blog we're doing our Click it With Cricut post. Courtney and I are your hosts. We'd love for you to come over & check out our work. We decided to make all cards & focus on St. Patrick's day as well as green - using green papers, etc from Imaginisce. So I dug through my stash to find every green piece of paper possible.

I had fun playing with my Cricut as I've been using it again more & more. It was getting too much dust sitting on it and I'm thrilled with all the new cartridges that I have sitting here. Totally love 'em and can't wait to play with them all!

Here's a look at the cards I made.

For all the details on cartridges that I used please check out the Imaginisce blog for that. Be sure to check out Courtney's cards too - they're gorgeous!!

It's a sketch challenge but with a twist.
You must use:

I created 2 cards from this challenge.

So ... are you ready to play?? Then make sure to head on over to the Imaginisce blog to check out all of the details and post your entry there on that post. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

So, this past weekend I was over on Vancouver Island, in Victoria, at the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival. I had a great time with my Canadian Scrapbook buddies (Katharina and Christy) and had a wonderful time teaching my classes. The ladies there were just super! Thanks so much everyone! I'll post some pictures a little bit later this week after I get them uploaded.
We're also looking forward to our next show in Abbotsford later on in April. So if you live around that area please make sure to stop by & check out the vendors plus sign up for some classes. We'd love to have you join us during that weekend!

Thanks again to my friend, Cathy, of The Steam Trunk. I've been thrilled to be using some of her products in my classes. If you haven't check out her online store YOU MUST! She has a wide variety of product from the most darling charms, buttons, jewelry to a fabulous variety of ribbons & trims. My favorite, of course, is the wonderful selections of twine. Thanks again Cathy .... I truly appreciate it!!
