RAK going out!!!

That's right! I mentioned in my previous post that I've been on a cleaning rant these past few weeks. I still have yet to tackle my scrap room. I know that many of you are very organzied in this area and I would love to hear your ideas on how you store your acrylic stamps, your rubons and chipboard embellishments.

So post here if you've got some great ideas because I'm going to be sending some lucky person a little RAK. You have 'til Sunday to post here and then I will randomly draw that winner.
(If you've got pictures of your room & storage solutions I'd love to see those too.)

So what are you working on these days?
I've been working on my Canadian Scrapbooker assignments. I'm having a great time doing my layouts too.
I've also got to do my DT assignment for Urban Scrapbook.
Plus I'd like to send in some submissions to various places. I'm also thinking of entering Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Contest. I just need to make up a Hello card by Friday!! Nothing like pressure to get motivated huh? LOL! Looks like there's some great cards in the gallery already!

Other than that, life is the same here. Our weather is finally getting nicer and the grass is starting to get green, my tulips are starting to come up, the buds are coming out on the trees and it's just feeling like spring!! It was nice falling asleep to the rain last night too. I love that sound and the fresh smell.
Well, I'm off. Hope you all have a great day!

I am so glad to hear that you are entering teh Paper crafts card contest - I will be rooting for ya girl!!
When it comes to storage I just love Ikea - I store all my ribbon in their large glass jars, chipboards, rub-ons and stickers are in their larger cardboard boxes (the ones that come in twos). I can't wait to see the room!!

  2. I have some nice wooden shelves around my room that contain Mason jars that have ribbon sorted by colour or LINE. I love this look. I have also seen ppl that have used 'eavestrough' drainage thingys to hold thier larger rolls of ribbon.

My chipboard is sorted and is either 'housed' in jars or decorative boxes .. you know the kind you can buy 4 or 5 of at your local dollar store (that fit inside one another). The look nice labelled and stacked.

I have the odd nail in my wall and have kept 'clear' make up bags/shower gel etc. and have put misc glitter tubes etc. in them. I like to mix it up and using a multitude of storage items.

  3. Hi Cari! Good luck on entering the Paper Crafts contest! You are just sure to win!

I have my ribbon stored on rolls. I put them on a wooden dowel and suspended them above my desk...which is in an amoire. I love having them right in front of me and arranged by color. Ribbon that's not on rolls are in a shoebox that I put large eyelets in the side of and pulled the ribbon through so I can see them.

I have my rub-ons, stickers chipboards and acrylic stamps stored all the same way... in 3-ring binders and labeled on the edges, on a shelf. The binders are filled with clear plastic sleeves that load from the top (like top loading albums, actually). I just slide them down into the sleeves to store and I can flip through and see anything I want... just pull down the binder labeled "acrylics" and they are all in one place. For the tiny acrylic stamps, I have plastic sleeves that have pockets and such on them (all see through)... from Deja Vues, I think.

I hope I help you with an idea or two! I'm not the most organized person, but I know where my stuff is and can find most of it when I want it! LOL! ;)

  4. Cari I love your blog. I just found it and I have been a big fan of your work for a LONG, LONG time.

I just got the clip it up and it is FABULOUS!! I use it for my rub ons, chipboard, embellies, stickers basically anything I can put on there. It is so helpful because I can see everything I have and I am using more of it each time I scrap. In fact I was going through my stuff trying to get organized and putting it on the clip it up. I kept saying I forgot I had that. I highly recommend getting one.

    Hey Cari!

Ok, for my acrylic stamps, I use a 9X13 clear snap-together storage box from Cropper Hopper. I but each stamp set in a 8.5x11 sheet protector with a white piece of cardstock. Then, they are separated by the snap-in file separators. I love it. They are organized by type.

Ribbons... I cut foam board that is about 5x5 square (the size of CTMH stamp sets, and wrap ribbon around them by family colors. I keep them in a CTMH stamp storage box. I can open the lid, and see all of my ribbon. So far, the ribbon doesnt wrinkle or kink either.

Chipboard.... I dont have that many, so this might not work for you, but I use the snack size ziplock baggies, sort them by letter, and store them in a photo box :)

Hope these ideas help! Can't wait to see your room!
