i-top Intensive Wednesday

Welcome!! So, are you enjoying the Imaginisce mini hop i-Top Inventive Week so far?? I sure hope so. I'm thrilled that you've stopped by and I hope you've been having fun checking out Penny's & Robyn's gorgeous projects!

I love my i-top tool! I love making the brads because they are so easy, simple & fast to make. I have found that when I use paper I like to crumple up the paper a bit or moisten a tad with a slightly damp cloth or even a baby wipe works too. This just softens up the paper in order for it to wrap around the brad top smoothly.

I also love using fabric for my brads. Below are the brad daddies that you use with the i-top tool (these are the small ones).

I don't use the punch on the fabric or the template to cut out the shape. Instead I just cut a small square shape piece of fabric (large enough that I know it will have enough fabric to hang off/over the edges. Once I've attached the fabric to the brad daddy top I then take a pair of scissors and trim away the excess material so that I have just enough to tuck inside the brad daddy top. Then I attach the brad daddy bottom section ... and voila!! Done! This is what I did on this layout. I used a black fabric to cover the brads that I used as large bullet points for my journaling.

If you'd like a visual description of what I've done you can check out Melinda's blog post as she shows how to use fabric with the brad daddies too and that's exactly what I've described here.

(Yes, I know I can't believe I'm almost 42. Only 8 more days to go!!)

Supplies used: Imaginisce (i-top tool & brad daddies, i-rock tool & rhinestones, To Love & Cherish paper, Garden Party - papers, die-cuts, flowers, ribbon), Core'dinations cardstock,
3L (Foam Squares), American Crafts Thickers, EK Success border punch, buttons

On this layout I just used my i-top to create the basic brad which I used for the center of my flowers on each tag. I then added a rhinestuds to each brad using my i-rock tool!

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Garden Party- papers & diecuts, flowers, i-rock tool & brad daddies, i-top tool and rhinestuds), 3L (foam squares),
American Crafts brown Slick Writer & Thickers, Fiskars border punch

Well, thank you SO much for stopping by my blog. I hope you've had fun doing this mini hop.

Remember that in order to have a chance at an i-top prize of your very own with accesories
(yes, they're giving away one every day!)
you must leave a comment on all the blogs today. So head on back to the Imaginisce blog and leave a final comment there. Plus stay tuned to the Imaginisce blog on Friday for a grand prize!!

So off you go .... get hopping!!!
