Where I create

Hi there,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I am sharing my scrappy space on the Imaginisce blog. So if you want a peek into my room then hop on over there.

If you've made your way from there already ... then welcome to my blog and thanks for taking a look at my creative space.

ADDED: I had someone ask me about how I organized all my patterned paper in my closet. I orgaznize it all by manufacturer. I'm pretty familiar with what many of the lines look like and what designs they have so I usually know where to look for certain papers. I do, however, have some Christmas themed papers in one section.
I also keep all my Canadian Scrapbooker supplies separate from my own product and that is organized by manufacturer as well. Just makes it easier for me. Hope that helps a bit.

As I mentioned I have a little giveaway ... in honor of all our scrappy spaces!!
All you have to do is a leave a comment here on my blog (and the Imaginisce blog) and tell me 2 things about your scrappy space. (i.e. what's your favorite storage system and where you create (bedroom, basement, etc).

Once you've done that I'll enter your name in a random drawing for a chance to win:

an Imaginisce D-stress tool
Fabric Roly Rosies (pink)
Roly Rosies

Fabric Petal Roller
So .... what are you waiting for??

You have until Mon., June 20th to leave a comment.
Winner will be announced on Wed., June 22nd.

  1. I love your space, I wish I had half that amount of room, I do have a question though, you seen to have so many patterned papers in the cupboard are they sorted by any method?

  2. WOW Cari... what a space!!

My fav storage item is definitely my clip it up - I absolutely love it. Being in Australia it was a tad expensive but totally worth it!!!

I used to scrap in my bedroom (I'm 22 and still live with my parents) but my older brother recently moved out of home so I moved all my scrapping stuff into his room... eventually I'll share with a couch and a telly maybe as my parents have grand plans for it but at the moment it's all mine :)

  3. Great space you have!!!

I have a large corner of our finished basement as my scrap space - I'd love to have a full room but what I have works perfectly for now! I'm in major need of better storage, I always seem to have piles and piles of stuff on my work table and it makes it so hard to stay organized and get anything done- so its nice to see/read about others spaces so I can get ideas!

Thanks for the chance to win - I've been drooling over the d-stress tool for awhile now but haven't managed to find it anywhere yet!

  4. I have an extra bedroom that I use for my stamp and craft room. Been stamping for well over 20 years, so I have accumulated a lot! I do have a lot of the Iris carts with drawers and that is where I store stamps and embellishments. I also have a dresser where I keep all my punches. It has a couple of shallow drawers where I store the smaller punches, larger ones are in the deeper drawers.

I took over my nursery, its small, but it works!

I love baskets! All my punches are in a huge basket that sits on my floor next to my desk for easy reach

  7. Thanks for the chance at a great giveaway and a chance to check out your wonderful scrap space. I'm blessed enough to have my own room to scrap in. My favorite storage is a large hanging shoe bag that hangs in my closet to store punches.

  8. I hate to say it but I have a whole bedroom (when my son moved out)for my scrapping space complete with desk and organizers, closet, etc. It does not look like your room :( Why can't I be more organized?

  9. Great space-I love seeing how other people organize their stuff-thanks for sharing!

  10. You have a fantastic scrap room! Two things I love about my scrap room are:
    1. I have custom built file drawers that hold 12 x 12 paper.
    2. I do not have to share my room with a bed anymore! I have the entire room dedicated to crafts.

  12. Love your space...and it is so CLEAN! I really like your "upper wall" cabinets. Everything is so tidy! My space is in my basement...and it is a whirwind of craziness, ink, and paper...lol.

  13. Ha when I first read this I thought it said 2 things about your space so I will do that and then move on to mine. I love your baskets up above your cupboards and I love the big window in front of your desk. Now on to me. My favorites are my 12 x 12 paper file cabinet. I wish I had bought it sooner. My next favorite thing is my expidite shelf that I finally bought this year. I am still getting it organized but it is coming along. I currently scrapbook in a corner of my bedroom but am thinking of moving back downstairs. Thank you for the chance to win.

  15. Love your space.... I have a huge room, but the layout is funky... I also have the same shelves that you have... love those...want more... love Ikea.... my favorite storage item is my clip it up. It holds so much and I love spinning it! Just found your blog and wow... really love that too! Happy Thursday. DeniseG

  16. Doesn't IKEA have the best organizational things?! Originally I had the white version of your upper cabinets. But, my oldest wanted to move back and I had to move out of her room. My white cabinets went in the play area of the basement. When she moved out (again!) I commandeered the big Expedit and traded the kids with my small one. I love your space. So organized. Love your decor pieces too. :)

I love your space and wish I had that much room. I share my space with my husband and his desk etc. in our bedroom converted to office space. So I might have a 10X10 area. But I put it to good use and like you have rubbermaid etc. for storage and Shoe slots over the desk to hold the staplers etc. Would love to win the giveaway. TFSrespur

  21. I'm still working on my new scrap space (my son nicknamed it "crap space" as it's so messy right now!) and sadly I still find myself working at the dining room table until I get it under control!!!

I love your space...so bright and clean!!!

Sadly, I do not have an official "scrap space" as our family of SIX lives in a 1280 sq. ft. home....I have to improvise instead. This means that I usually use my dining table and/or kitchen bar to scrap. However, I love the 15 JetMax cubes that store all of my stash in the corner of our master bedroom.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Your room is fabulous. I have to share our guest room with my scrappy space so I have used a lot of cube organizers that stack to make the space most usable... and less messy :) I used to organize my ribbons the same way you do, but the stash has gotten a little out of control lately so you have inspired me to run up and get my ribbons put in the containers so I can see what I have. Thanks for sharing Glad I found you on Imaginisce.

  24. Seriously love this space! I would love to have all the organizational stuff you do! Great job! Thanks for the giveaway!

  25. You have a great space. I scrap in the office/sunroom. My DH gets a desk which holds my printer. My favorite storage right now are all my different orange boxes from IKEA...cd and dvd ones and my new (to me) clip it up. I find that I try to use items if I see them and putting them into an Iris case just meant I would rarely use stuff once it went in there.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have my own space in the basement and luv it! My favorite storage is my clip-it ... all my "go to" embellies are right at my fingertips!

Thanks for sharing your space Cari!

  27. Oh Cari what a great giveaway...I love that my husband and I share our space..and I love that it has a door on it so we can shut the door and he can listen to his music and I can scrapbook..
    I love your space

  28. AWESOME SPACE!! My Scrappy space is a bedroom that I have taken over, it holds EVERYTHING I need. My closet is a MESS, guess that's why I keep it closed up! LOL!! Thanks for the chance for goodies! I would LOVE them all as I don't have them! Have a GREAT Day,

  29. I scrap in my huge walk-in closet. I love it! My favorite part of it is my desk. I've got two IKEA 2x2 Expedits as the legs and my neighbor made the top. It's great!

  30. I have my own (very cluttered, at the moment) craft room in the basement. I store supplies on plastic shelves and in some old chests of drawers. The small items are stored in clear plastic boxes and jars that originally held salad, cookies, biscotti, etc. Thanks for a chance to win. Iris

  32. Enjoyed seeing your crafting room and love your blog now too after poking around! My hubby made me a crafting room this winter - I am in heaven! I create so much more now. I would LOVE, love to have the Imaginisce D-stress tool to create more goodies with. I love and have most of their tools, but not the D-stress yet.

  33. I create in what is supposed to be a spare bedroom. I feel blessed to have my own dedicated space.
My favorite storage system are the Iris clear 12x12 containers that come in a shelf type system. I have each container labeled so it's easier to find what I'm looking for quickly.

  34. Love how much natural light you have! Great space!

  35. I love your space! I also love that you have a giant window. My space is a built in, and has a giant window that looks into the people behinds outs back yard... We rent, and there is an office space with a long counter top style desk and built in shelving above it. I love it, except for we don't own it... one day. But I did pick up some paper organizers when out Joann's was expanding and now sort my solid paper in those. I LOVE it, but once we own I can hang them on the wall and they will work even better! Thanks for sharing with us!

  50. I love your space--it looks awesome! Hmmm....my favorite storage? I love using the Starbucks Frappacino bottles to store my buttons by color. They look great in the glassed door section of my scrap hutch. I am lucky enough to have one of the bedrooms as my craftroom/computer room.

  54. You have such an organized space. I had to downsize and move my spacious craft room into our small office, due to a new little guy that entered our lives. But I do love that my daughter is now old enough to share my room with me (she's 2.5 and is a scissor fanatic!) and I love the new view that I get from the window while I scrap!

  55. You are so organized! I need lessons! i have a spare bedroom for my 'scrap room'. I am always trying to organize things better...but not having much luck. Thank you for showing us your space.

  56. I love your space! I have to share the office with DH in what was supposed to be the formal living room. As a result, I don't have as much space as I'd like and it's got the typical living room dim lighting. I'm not going to get any other space soon, so I've got to re-organize soon. Thanks for sharing your space and thanks for the giveaway!
