In fact, we just came back from spending a few hours at the beach this afternoon. It was a wee bit breezy but boy that sun felt so good. But it was definitely a great way to end the holiday weekend & spring break.
On Friday we colored some eggs. The kids always have fun doing this and each year they turn out differently.
I've always blown out the eggs and had just the shell for the kids to color but this year I hard boiled them. Here they are ... all ready to be colored.
I've also learned that it's so much cheaper to just make your own colors with water, vinegar & food coloring. Don't know why it took me so long to figure that out!
The kids already at it!
And .... their finished creations.
Growing up I remember my Grandma making a wonderful bread that we all loved. I've made it in years past but haven't done it for the past 2 years. But on Saturday, I decided I would make some Paska in honor of my Grandma. It turned out wonderfully.
We also had a wonderful family time yesterday on Easter Sunday. We went to my brother's church in the morning to celebrate the reason for this holiday. I love rejoicing that my Lord is risen and He is alive!
After the service we all met my folks at a gorgeous golf & country club for a brunch (buffet-style). It was a wonderful time filled with laughter, a magician and some face painting as well.
Afterwards we then went to my folks place so that the kids could have an Easter egg hunt. Lots of candy. Lots of fun.
Now, it's back to regular scheduled life. (of course, after a few more hours of playing outside and then a good bath/shower and early to bed tonight).
Hope that you had a great Easter weekend too.
Loving all your photos - looks like a great Easter weekend!
