We had 6 squealing little gr.1 girls in our house yesterday for Kailyn's 6th birthday party. It was nuts and really quite loud. But, they all had a great time ... at least I sure hope that they did. The cake turned out ok too (not quite like I had envisioned but Kailyn was quite pleased with it!).
After cleaning up and the girls went home I tried to figure out what scrapbooking supplies and projects to take with me for the evening because I went to my 1st crop ever!!! I know. Hard to believe isn't it. But it's true. Last night was my first time going to a crop and it was great. It was a kick-off crop to get to know those are going to volunteer with Canada's Crop for Kids at Scrap and Bean. This event is going to be huge and so amazing. It's very exciting. We are getting so many great sponsors and designers coming I can't wait for everything to be finalized and all the announcements made of who's coming & who will be teaching.
It was great to get to know some of the girls there too and I even met Anam (Kihaku) who joined STM in May and just moved here from the UK then as well. Loved her accent and getting to know her too. Nice to meet Mona (on the Scraptivity Design team) and see Janine again too.
I also got a fun and surprise phonecall from Kim Hughes. We had a great chat and got to know each other a bit too. Thanks Kim for the call - it was so much fun to talk with you!
All in all a busy but good day. I'm feeling pretty exhausted today though because my little guy decided to wake up last night at 1:30am and 4am!! Little stinker! So, I'm feeling it today. Early to bed tonight.
