A cute & easy little project!

I made this 8x8 Picture It Pageframe yesterday for a teacher gift. (it's a dry erase message board for Ryan's preschool teacher) using Polar Bear Press papers and lined paper by Scenic Route. The black letters are American Crafts Thickers - love those!! And of course some Basic Grey rub-ons!

It was his last day of school!!!! (Kailyn still has 2 more weeks left) I really can't believe it though!! He's done! He has grown so much for going to preschool and I know that it was just the best thing for him. It's helped him to learn his alphabet and numbers (of course, we still need to work on that), to not be so shy when people are talking to him, and to just have fun playing with other little kids. Yesterday I wrote in the card for his teacher and he signed his name all by himself!! That's the first time he's ever done that and I was just so proud of him!!

Here's another version of the teacher's gift message board - this is 11 x 8.5 (I got this idea from the talented Judi VanValkinburg) which I was going to teach at my LSS but we ran out of time so I'm going to change it up a bit and make a class for kids using the pageframes. As I was walking this morning I kept thinking of some fun ideas. Now, I just have to make those come to life like they look in my head! LOL!
For this board I used some yummy Scenic Route papers, cut out chipboard letters with the die-cut machine & painted them black, and used some more Basic Grey rub-ons. I'm such a rub-on addict and they were just so much fun to use on these frames as well.
Well, today is going to be spent cleaning house, tidying up my scraproom, maybe getting some projects planned out & perhaps started - we'll see, make a big batch of icing for decorating Ryan's cake on Saturday. I used my Michaels coupon last month and bought this Lightning McQueen cake pan. I've really never decorated a cake like this before so I'm a bit worried at how it will look when I'm finished! Although I'm pretty sure that the kids will eat it no matter what!

Well, off to get a cup of coffee before I attempt anything on my "to do" list!
Have a great day!
