HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Wow! I'm always surprised how another year has just zipped by and we welcome a new one in! It seems the older I get the quicker the years go by.

We took our tree down the other night and I must admit that it's not my favorite part of the holidays. Not because I don't like putting all the decorations away, not because I don't like all the needles left all over the floor which means I have to vacumn but because I miss the pretty lights and the coziness that it had in my home. I love that warmth the lights bring. I did however, keep some decorations up that I will clean up next weekend after my inlaws leave.

As I think of this new year that is ahead of us I can't help but wonder what our future holds for us as a family. What new adventures will we take as a family, who will lose some teeth next, who will ride their bike without training wheels first, will I be able to lose that weight that I keep wanting to lose, what jobs we will have, or even if we will still be living in this same house. These are all things that constantly go through my mind.

I would love to be more consistent in keeping my scrapbooking & piano studio clean all the time. But to be more realistic I should probably say "more often". In terms of my scrapbooking I would like to see myself grow in terms of my style and progress in this industry (publications, teaching, design team work, etc).

I would love to find time to sit down & start practicing piano again. It's been a long time since I just sat & played my old classical pieces. It's not like I'll practice for 5 hours like I did many, many years ago but a little bit of uninterrupted time here & there would be nice.

However, with that being said, I need to keep that within moderation & keep my priorities straight and focused on my family because this life it just too short and these little ones grow up so quickly!

I know one thing is certain and that is that I want my relationship with the Lord to become stronger in this next year. I want to learn to trust him more & more, I want to learn more about His Word, to be more consistent in my daily devotions (my hubby gave me a wonderful devotional guide by Beth Moore that I'm excited to start), and I want to be a Godly example to my children so that they can see what the Lord means to me & in my life.

If I were to use a word to describe my outlook on this next year it would be CONSISTENCY & FOCUS. Ok, so that was 2 words but it works for me. ;)

I wish you all a Blessed & Safe New Year!

Oh and I'll post the last few pages of my December Daily album soon.
