Wishing you ...

a Happy New Year!!

This is a pic of all the cousins wearing t-shirts from Grandma & Grandpa.  My dad wrote a little book for kids called "Bagiki".  A word that he used growing up and one that I remember him using when my brother & I were little too.

On Christmas Day after all the presents had been unwrapped my mom & dad took all the kids out of the room while us parents stayed behind.  A few minutes later in parade the children wearing these t-shirts "you will be Bagiki" and then they presented us with the book that Dad wrote.  I loved it!!!  And Dad that book is the best!!! I know we will all treasure this for many years!
Christmas Morning we spend in our house - just the 5 of us.  The kids were so excited!  (I think we will definitely be scaling down though because after visiting with family they ended up having 3 Christmases - craziness!!!)
We did had a great Christmas though - spending time with family is just so special!

To welcome in the New Year I am running my 1st race tomorrow - Resolution Run - a 5K.  I'm somewhat nervous about it 'cause I've never run that distance yet.  So we'll see how it goes.  I am excited about what this year will hold.  I have set some running goals for myself and I look forward to accomplishing them.  My biggest goal is running a 1/2 marathon in the May. Yikes!!!

Have a great night everyone!!!
  HAPPY NEW YEAR!
