Imaginisce & Core'dinations together!!!

This is seriously a match made perfect!!

I absolutely love both of these companies and feel so honored to have the opportunity to design for both of them. A dream come true really.
And now they've partnered up together this week for an awesome blog hop!!!
Today I'm sharing project on the Imaginisce blog and wanted to share them here as well. But you must definitely check out the Imaginisce blog & the Core'dinations blog because there is so much inspiration!

If you've never used either of these manufacturers products before you will gain a lot of insight into what each product is capable of by taking a look at the projects that the designers have created. So much is possible!

Alright ... here's what I created.

"Dream Big"
On the background cardstock I embossed with my stylus and made short lines so it looked like stitching. (all of this is done on the backside of the cardstock, then flipped over and sanded). I also did the same thing with my stylus and made long scored lines on the purple cardstock. I just simply put my paper over the cutting channel of my paper trimmer and ran the stylus over it, then flipped it over and sanded the embossed image.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Hippity Hop collection, Glam Rocks), Core'dinations Colorcore cardstock (cardstock Sand it Gadget, Dust Buddy cloth), twine (The Twinery), Ek Success (border punch and small hole punch)

I used my Cricut to die-cut some letter for my title and then I ran them through my little Xyron machine to make them into stickers. I left them on the sticky white sheet and ran the entire strip through a paper crimper to get the 'rippled' effect. I just sanded them lightly afterwards and used pop dots to adhere them to my layout.
I added some Glam Rocks to the scored lines on the purple cardstock.
I also made a tag from the Core'dinations and did a simple scoring technique on the edges like I'd done on the purple cardstock earlier.
Here's a little peek a the paper tearing that I did. Tearing this Core'dinations cardstock reveals the inner core color and it's so much fun (really it is!!) to tear paper. Everyone should try it at some point in their scrappy career!!! It's so invigorating! LOL!

Here's another layout that I created for the hop.
"Tree Hugger"

I kept the color scheme neutral because of the subject and used some papers from the Happy Camper collection by Imaginisce. I also used a piece of Black Magic Core cardstock and sanded around the edges of the 12x12 sheet. I made some scored lines across the lower portion of the cardstock & sanded those lines as well.
I tend to use this technique often because I like the look it creates on my layouts.

Supplies: Imaginisce (Happy Camper collection, Hot Rocks), Core'dinations Colorcore cardstock (cardstock, Sand it Gadget, Dust Buddy), Cuttleubug embossig folder, Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink pad

I cut a long strip of brown cardstock and embossed the top part with an owl image embossing folder. I sanded the image lightly with the Sand it Gadget and then adhered to turquoise hot Rocks for his eyes. Isn't he just the cutest??
Here's a few more close-up shots.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the Imaginisce and Core'diantions blogs all week. There's awesome prizes to be had too!!
