Check it out!

Some new posts today at The Inspired Scrapbooker.  Our challenge was to use embossing templates.  I've posted mine below.  You must also check out Debbie Visser's stuff 'cause it's amazing!!

Here's a layout I made using October Afternoon patterned paper and Core'dinations cardstock. Love that stuff!!  I embossed on the cardstock and then sanded some of the raised images and then inked some others. I also embossed on the circle chipboard piece. Just think of embossing chipboard letters!!  Too fun huh? Yep! I already tried that too! ;)
This card I embossed, then lightly covered the raised image with Versamark, sprinkled embossing powder over that and heat embossed it.  I then took some Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels) and then wiped off the excess.  What you're left with is the glimmer mist on the sections that the embossing didn't affect.

For this card I embossed the acrylic bracket.  One thing to note is that the acrylic shouldn't be too thick otherwise it won't go through the Cuttlebug and you could potentially wreck your embossing template. After the acrylic shape was embossed I adhered a rub-on image over top.
With this card I used cork.  It's so easy to punch cork with your punches and they look so cool.  I embossed the cork and then lightly inked the raised parts so that the embossing would show up a little bit better.
I'm off tomorrow for a day of teaching at Loon Lake at The Ultimate Scrapbook Retreat.  I'm looking forward to it and hopefully the ladies are ready to get creating!!
Have a great weekend!
