Snow day on Family Day!

Well, it was nice to have a day off (especially for the kids). Finally, after a month or so of very cold temperatures they could play outside. Seriously, they couldn't even enjoy the snow & play outside for the entire month of January because it was so cold. So we all had some fun outside yesterday.

Kailyn had a blast going down the slide (on her Dora sled). She's a little "go-getter". (just wish I'd done something with her hair!!)

Ryan, well, we had a few of these little episodes yesterday. Snow in the mittens and down the sleeves. Not fun! I know. I'm probably being a mad mommy for taking pictures of this too but was irresistable.

As you can see from this next picture, he was quite alright and having fun just like everyone else! I love that look of determination to go as fast as possible.


Speaking of having fun ... I think Jayden enjoyed himself the most (even though he went inside first). He loved eating the snow. I couldn't get him to stop. The top layer of the snow was rather hard & icy because of the freezing rain we had last week so he would break off chunks and just grin from ear to ear.

Do you think he got a big enough piece?

Well, that's about it. We didn't get to work on Kailyn's boat though - hopefully tonight.
