Almost Friday!

I love weekends! I really do. However, I have a feeling this will be a busy one - more so because Tim is working the entire time and I'm Mommy Chauffeur. Fun stuff! We've got soccer games, birthday parties, errands and school projects on the schedule.

I've been doing a bit of kitting for The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival. I'm so excited about it! It's going to be so much fun. If you haven't checked out the list of classes be sure to do so. Here's a link to the website. There's 2 events - 1 in Victoria, BC (March 12 & 13, 2010) and the other in Abbotsford, BC (April 16 & 17, 2010).

Well, I'm heading to bed now but before I do I wanted to share a layout. It's 1 of 3 that I taught at my LSS.

Supplies used: Bazzill Basics cardstock, My Mind's Eye (papers, chipboard accents), Fiskars border punch, American Crafts brads, Pink Paislee alpha stickers

Have a great weekend!

Some challenges

Imaginisce has a fun challenge happening right now.

WEEKEND CHALLENGE: Post a photo here on our Facebook page...
or your blog (post the link here) OF**YOU HOLDING the i-TOP TOOL** (if
you don't have one, then photoshop one onto a picture, borrow a
friends or go to the store & take a photo of you holding it). Monday
morning they will post the winner!!

Then don't forget about the February sketch challenge. You still have time - until Feb. 25th. The winner will receive an i-top gift package or $75 worth of other Imaginisce products. Trust me you don't want to miss out on this fabulous prize!!!

And a challenge for me. I joined a group of friends in a Biggest Loser: At Home challenge to lose weight. I've really struggled with this over the past few years. And finally, I just want to feel good about myself, how I feel and look. I want to be able to do a bunch of things with my children and not feel like I can't or just be out of breath. Yes, I know. I was running. And I was doing pretty good with that until this past fall when I just kind of gave up. Life just got busy and I found I didn't have time. But, in the end I realized that I have to make time just like I have to with a lot of important details in my life. So today was DAY 1 of my journey to better eating and health.

Before I close I'd just like to share a layout that I created for Got Sketch blog this past Wednesday.

Supplies used: Core'dinations cardstock, Jillibean Soup patterned papers, button and twine, Basic Grey chipboard letters, Fiskars punch

Hope you have a great weekend!

A few layouts to share

Morning.

It's a crisp morning with frost on the car windows and ground but the sun is shining and it's going to be a great day!

Just wanted to share a few layouts that I made a few months ago for Core'dinations.
For this 1st layout I used my paper trimmer and a stylus (because I don't own a ScorePal ... yet!) and made several lines across the lower section of my background cardstock, then sanded them lightly.

Supplies used: Core'dinations Chocolate Box, Cuttlebug diecut alpha, Jillibean Soup ribbon and twine

This next layout I made embossed lines on the cream cardstock (the same way as above) ... yes, it took some time ... then I sanded the lines lightly. I also made small "stitch" marks on the red cardstock & sanded those as well. I used an embossing template on the green cardstock and did a bit of paper tearing with a scalloped edged metal ruler on the blue cardstock.

Supplies used: Core'dinations cardstock (Vintage, Assorted), Jillibean Soup button and date sprout, Pink Paislee chipboard alpha, Basic Grey alpha stickers, Cuttlebug embossing template

Before I go, just wanted to share this Facebook link to Imaginisce. CLICK HERE. Share your favorite collection and you could win a prize!!!

Thanks for popping by & I hope you have a great day!

Another peek

Just wanted to share another peek with you from one of the classes that I'll be teaching at The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival this coming March & April.

"Just Imagine" is a layout workshop where we'll create 3 single paged layouts using Imaginisce products and Core'dinations cardstock. I'm very excited about this class & I know you won't be disappointed. You'll also get a chance to play with the fabulous i-top tool to make your own brads.

For more info & registration details on this class & many other make sure to check out Canadian Scrapbooker website.

That's it for now. It's a rather rainy day today and I've got all my cleaning done so I'm hoping to get some scrapping stuff done.

So exciting!

We had an exciting day on Monday afternoon!

The Olympic Torch made it's way through our town. There were so many people but it was very exciting ... even if it happened in a blink of an eye. We couldn't really see too much that happened along the street because we had a spot standing in front of the Cloverdale museum where we were able to get a few good shots of the torch bearer.

JJ enjoying the little flags (we managed to collect a few of them! ;))

I loved seeing all of the Canadian flags everywhere! It was just so festive and Canadian - especially with everyone dressed in red too!

This is the guy that carried the torch by the Cloverdale Museum. They had just passed it on before he came to the entrance - we couldn't quite see that happening though.

And the weather was just amazing too! Felt like summer (no, seriously our legs were burning from the sun shining on our jeans - we could have worn shorts!!)

Before I leave I'll share another layout that I made a few days ago about my monkey boys.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Scooter's Vacation papers, rub-ons, stickers), American Crafts Thickers, Bazzill Basics Cardstock

Monday morning again

It always seems like the weekend goes by so quickly. My kids rarely sleep in on Saturday mornings. You'd think they would because Friday mornings it's so difficult to wake them up and even on Sundays getting ready for church can often be a big rush. Oh well. That's kids.

Just wanted to share another layout that I created this past week.

Supplies used: Bazzill Basics Cardstock, Imaginisce (patterned papers, flowers, stickers, stamps), Basic Grey chipboard letters, American Crafts Thickers

And here's another class peek for one of my classes I'll be teaching at The Great Canadian Scrapbooker Carnival. This class, however, will only be offered in Victoria, BC (not Abbotsford - sorry ladies! :()

Supplies used: Paper Trunk Krafty Collection and Benny alpha stickers, BoBunny 6x6 binder, Prima flowers

I'm thrilled that my friend Sharon asked me to be one of her designers for their kits, Ninabrook Designs. The I'm looking forward to getting my 1st kit to create with. They've got album kits, card kits and layout kits so it's going to be lots of fun.

Well, that's it for today!

The Inspired Scrapbooker

Morning! It's Friday! Yeah!!! I love Fridays. Always haved.

"Love is in the Air" is the theme for The Inspired Scrapbooker this month (as I'm sure that's the theme for many places! ;))
My challenge this month was to use a love-themed quote on my project. So here's what I came up with.

Supplies used: Core'dinations Impressions (Jenni Bowlin Brown & Cream collection), Jenni Bowlin paper, Basic Grey chipboard alpha, Fiskars border punch

Oh, and here's a mini album that I made yesterday. I wanted to make a simple album about why I love my family so much.

Supplies used: Core'dinations Impressions (Cosmo Cricket Classic Collection), Imaginisce Sweet Cheri collection (papers, chipboard, rub-ons), American Craft alpha

Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend.

A Sketch and a contest!

First of all ... HAPPY FEBRUARY 1st!!! I can't believe that January is over already! How time flies! Ok, ... on with some exciting stuff to start of this month!

The Imaginisce design team is one talented group. I love seeing the gals work each month and all the different & creative ways everyone uses the product. I really enjoy it.

We've started doing a sketch each month. Check the Imaginisce blog for the sketch that Julie drew.
Here's my take on the sketch.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Lucy Bird collection - patterned papers, flowers, i-top tool (to make brads), ribbon, epoxy stickers), Core'dinations cardstock, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Provo Craft decorative scissors

Now, here's the contest/challenge part of it for all of you!

All you have to do is head on over to the Imaginisce blog and look for the list of designers that particpated in this sketch challenge. Leave a comment on each of their blogs and you will have a chance to win a $50 prize package!!! The winner will be announced this Wednesday!

Plus ... this challenge is open to everyone. You, too, can create a layout using this sketch. Just post your work before February 25th, 2010 to the Imaginise Facebook page or you can post your layout on your blog and then send a link to Imaginisce (just by posting on the Imaginisce blog). A very lucky winner will be chosen and given a prize package at the end of the month!

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!!
Have fun blog hopping!! ;)
