Traditions & Happy Christmas Eve!

My children are so excited today as it's Christmas Eve day and they get to open presents tonight as we celebrate Christmas with my husband's family. I just love the joy and delight that fills their eyes (however, the volume could come down just a few notches! LOL!)

Do you have certain traditions that you like to keep happening year after year?
Well, as a kid we had one every christmas. And that was cutting down our tree. I loved it and remember my parents pulling my brother & I on the sled in search of the perfect christmas tree. My own children are now enjoying this as our family tradition as well.

Over at The Inspired Scrapper you will find some layouts that I've scrapped that involve traditions in our family during the holiday season.

Here's one layout that I scrapped this year from our tree hunting experience last year.
Supplies used: Imaginisce (Cottage Christmas paper, stickers, flowers, ribbon, stamps), EK Success border punch, Bazzill pompom ribbon.

I haven't scrapped the photos from this year quite yet. That will probably happen next year!
I do hope that you'll pop on over to The Inspired Scrapper to see more examples of traditions in my family and from other Design Team members that will post today.

Have a Blessed Christmas.
I'll be back in a few days (just taking a few off from blogging!)

Winter is here!!!

Wow!! I can't believe the snow we've been getting today!!! Amazing!
The kids had a blast tobogganing after school too, but it did get a bit wet by the end.

Just wanted to remind you to check out TIS (The Inspired Scrapbooker) today as I have a post up about winter/christmas themed layouts.

Here's a new one that I've finished using Imaginisce's Cottage Christmas collection. Love that stuff.
I covered the i-top brads with ribbon. Love the effect.

So, make sure to check out TIS there. There will be some other posts too.

The Inspired Scrapper

It's that time again. TIS has another great challenge today.

Today's challenge is "Stamp It Challenge".
Here's a peek at what I shared on the blog over there today.

And here's a couple of older layouts that I had created for Canadian Scrapbooker Basics Vol.2 Stamping issue.

This one I used a stamp on the background cardstock with a variety of colors of ink.
I used a leaf stamp image (Fancy Pants) and Versamark on 3 different shades of cardstock. I then took the same stamp with green ink and stamped the image on kraft cardstock and cut it out, popped it up with pop dots for added dimension.
So hop on over to The Inspired Scrapper to see some fun stamping projects.

Today is my day to post on The Inspired Scrapbooker site. My challenge this week was Weddings. I could do a layout or cards or something else but I chose to stick with cards this time. For some reason I just can't dig out my wedding photos and start scrapping them ... mostly 'cause I can't be bothered as they're already in a book nice & neat.

Anyways, here's the cards that I created using "To Love & Cherish" collection from Imaginisce.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (To Love & Cherish collection - papers, flowers, rub-ons, brads), Core'dinations, ribbon, buttons, Fiskars border punches

Well, that's it for today! Have a great Friday & awesome weekend!
