Got sketch?

I love Valerie's sketch on Got Sketch. Her designs just make me want to sit down and create a page - the best thing for when I have that creative block!

She's posted the new sketch on Got Sketch today so please make sure to check it out and all the rest of the amazing layouts from the Creative Team. I really liked the long single photo on this sketch and used a photo from this past summer of a day we spent at the beach.

Here's my take on the sketch.
On the punched border strip (blue) I flipped the cardstock over and used my stylus and cutting channel on my paper trimmer (you could also use a scoring board) to make short "stitch-like" marks along the edge of the cardstock. I then flipped it back to the right side and sanded the embossed stitch marks. After adhering it to my layout I added some white Glam Rocks using the Imaginisce i-rock tool.
Supplies: Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock, Jillibean Soup (papers, die-cuts, canvas flowers and alpha stickers), My Little Bit of Whimsy (butterfly button & flower stick pin), My Little Shoebox (red alpha sticker "a"), Ek Success (border punch & corner punch), Imaginisce (i-rock tool & white Glam Rocks)

If you love Valerie's sketches then you'll be happy to hear that she is having another sketch class!! That's right! Check out Got Sketch or click HERE for more info.

Thanks for stopping by!
