Two fun projects to share!

Hi there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  I'm excited to share with you 2 projects that I just recently created.

First of all, Imaginisce has teamed up with Xyron this past week for a little blog hop.  Today is the last day of the blog.

There are so many amazing projects and if you're in the need of Easter ideas then this is the week to check out the Imaginisce blog because it is full of incredible inspiration.

In keeping with the Easter theme I decided to make some napkin rings.

I cut the accordian flower shapes and little chickie using my Cricut Expression and Imaginisce patterned papers. Adhered everything together using Xyron Glue Stick and Mega Runner. 2 fabulous adhesives!

I used some Core'dinations Colorcore cardstock (Whitewash) to create the base of the napkin ring.  I just cut a 3" x 6" piece of cardstock and adhered the ends together; holding them in place until I knew that they would adhered completely.  (you don't have to use cardstock but I wanted to make sure that these were solid and wouldn't rip when the napkin was pulled through).

I then placed the chickie embellishments onto the accordian shapes and adhered all of it to the base. Voila! Super cute napkin rings in a snap!

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Childhood Memories & Good Dog- patterned papers; foam tape); Core'dinations Colorcore cardstock, Xyron Adhesives (Glue Stick & Mega Runner); Cricut Expressions, Ribbons & Rosettes cartridge, Simply Charmed cartridge

I also have a blog post on Simple Stories blog today where I'm sharing this super fun little mini album which includes some of my favorite family photos. I used the new Vintage Bliss collection and it's just so pretty.  I'm not naturally drawn to pastel colors in scrapbooking (home decor ... yes!) but scrapbooking it's always a bit harder for me. However, having said that this collection is an exception.

I used Core'dinations Colorcore cardstock on the cover of my album (covering 2 pieces of chipboard - 4 1/4" x 6 1/4")  After adhering the cardstock to the chipboard I then sanded the embossed images and edges.

I then began putting my pages together using 2" x 3" photos (black & white) and lots of fun embellishments (i.e. stickers, ribbon, etc). I used some of the 4x6 Journal cards and also cut up some pieces of patterned papers to 4x6 size. I then bound it all together using my Zutter Bind-it-all machine.

Here's a look at the inside pages (1-6)

I used foam tape/squares on some of the stickers for variety of depth.

I used one of the 4x6 transparencies and placed a round sticker on the front and another one on the back.
