Today I wanted to share with you some layouts that I created for a class that I just recently taught at BC's Crop for Kids.
I wasn't too sure how things would turn out because I don't usually create double paged layouts. I'm a single kind of gal. :) But I decided that I would really give myself this challenge and I was so excited with how things turned out.
Here's what I created using Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock TH Kraft Shattered and some Imaginisce Childhood Memories collection.
"Time Flies"
I added some foam squares behind the sticker and then cut out a small camera to add to the upper right of the sticker.
I created my own 'washi tape' by using one of the paper strips from the Border Strip patterned paper. I cut it into several small pieces and then used a pair of decorative scissors on the ends. It looks pretty cool.
I love adding foam squares to my stickers for added dimension.
I created some faux stitching on the yellow cardstock by making dashed lines on the backside of the cardstock and then sanding them with the Sand It Gadget. Super easy & super fun!
The second layout that I taught was this one.
"Cousins & Friends"
I cut a long strip of red TH Kraft Core cardtsock and embossed (dots) and then sanded the strips. It really adds a lot of texture to a page.
On this cream journal strip I cut out the yellow journal card (which had a small camera on it), adhered it to the cardstock and then added the larger camera sticker using foam squares. This really added a great focal point to the layout.
I hand-cut the small tree designs, adhering one with foam squares and the other just flat - giving some dimension again.
Supplies used: Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock, Imaginisce (Childhood Memories collection), Cuttlebug embossing folders, Cuttlebug, Fiskars border punches
This was a super fun class to teach and the ladies loved it as well. (added bonus! :))
Thanks for stopping by.
