Core'dinations & Imaginisce

Hi there,

Today I wanted to share with you some layouts that I created for a class that I just recently taught at BC's Crop for Kids.

I wasn't too sure how things would turn out because I don't usually create double paged layouts. I'm a single kind of gal. :)  But I decided that I would really give myself this challenge and I was so excited with how things turned out.

Here's what I created using Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock TH Kraft Shattered and some Imaginisce Childhood Memories collection.

"Time Flies"

I added some foam squares behind the sticker and then cut out a small camera to add to the upper right of the sticker.
I created my own 'washi tape' by using one of the paper strips from the Border Strip patterned paper. I cut it into several small pieces and then used a pair of decorative scissors on the ends. It looks pretty cool.

I love adding foam squares to my stickers for added dimension.

I created some faux stitching on the yellow cardstock by making dashed lines on the backside of the cardstock and then sanding them with the Sand It Gadget. Super easy & super fun!

The second layout that I taught was this one.

"Cousins & Friends"

I cut a long strip of red TH Kraft Core cardtsock and embossed (dots) and then sanded the strips. It really adds a lot of texture to a page.

On this cream journal strip I cut out the yellow journal card (which had a small camera on it), adhered it to the cardstock and then added the larger camera sticker using foam squares. This really added a great focal point to the layout.

I hand-cut the small tree designs, adhering one with foam squares and the other just flat - giving some dimension again.

Supplies used: Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock, Imaginisce (Childhood Memories collection), Cuttlebug embossing folders, Cuttlebug, Fiskars border punches

This was a super fun class to teach and the ladies loved it as well. (added bonus! :))
Thanks for stopping by.

BC's Crop for Kids

Wow!! I can't believe it's almost time for another fabulous event of Crop for Kids.  I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this event for the past several years.  It is an incredible way to give to our community and to the children that need our help.

Next weekend (October 5-7th) , yes it's Thanksgiving (for those of who are Canadian) this great event, Crop for Kids takes place.

I'm all set!!!
In fact, just finished creating all of my kits for my classes and ready to go!!!
I missed not teaching last year (because of a health issue last summer) but I'm so excited to be back!
I'm also looking forward to showing off my lia sophia jewelry too! That will be super fun!!

Here's a look at the classes I'll be teaching next weekend. If you're attending the event & haven't yet signed up for classses I'd love to see you in mine!! (or at least come by & say 'hi'! ;))

"Make A Wish"
I'll be teaching a birthday card themed class.
We all know people who have birthdays and how many times do you find you're going to a birthday party and still don't have a card?? Well this is the perfect time to change that & be prepared. We will create 6 fabulous & adorable b-day cards perfect for any age!
(Supplies used in class: Core'dinations Cardstock and Imaginisce)

"Life is Good"
We all have memories and this little album is a great way to store them forever, plus family & friends can see what brings you joy and the memories that you've made together as a family.
(Supplies used in class: Core'dinations Cardstock & Simple Stories)

Hope you have a super week!!!

One more day!

Wow!!! It's almost here!!

BC's Crop for Kids begins tomorrow and happens all weekend long. It's always such a great weekend with many amazing classes and lots of time to scrapbook. Plus all the money raised goes to the Vancouver Children's hospital. I love that.

I'm thrilled to find out that tonight 2 of my 3 classes are SOLD OUT!!! Woohoo!!! Can't wait to see all of you this weekend!!! It's going to be so much fun!! Plus I've got some Canadian Scrapbooker magazines to give away to those of you who take my classes!! (*wink, wink*)

There's still room in this class if you're interested in creating a gift for someone or just to keep for yourself! If you're interested you can register HERE or when you get to the event at the registration desk.

Hope to see you there.

Today

... is the final day for the Paper Trunk's blog rock. It's been a great week and it sounds like you're all enjoying the peeks of the new collection. I'm excited to play with it and when I get something done I'll be sure to share it with you!

As for sneak peeks ... here's a couple for some classes that I'll be teaching at BC's Crop for Kids this coming October.
This card class ("Floral & Feminine") uses My Mind's Eye papers, diecuts and transparency along with some Bazzill cardstock.
This is a christmas card class ("A Wonderland of Cards") using Imaginisce's "Polar Expressions" collection and Core'dinations cardstock.

For more info on classes make sure to check out their website as more classes are being posted all the time. And they're all fabulous!!!

Can you believe it?? It's June 1st already!!! Yikes!!! May completely passed me by. I think working part-time made my life nuts and everything is just a blur. Oh well. Hopefully once school is finished and all the year-end activities are done with then we can relax a bit and just enjoy each other & life!

One other thing before I finish off here ... don't forget to check out Imaginisce's blog for the new June sketch challenge. As always follow the rules (using Imaginisce product, the sketch and leave a link to your finished layout and you've got a chance to win some awesome Imaginisce product!!) Plus check out all the fabulous layouts that the Design Team created this month!

Have a great day!
