Design Team Call

The Inspired Scrapbooker is sad as we must say goodbye to 2 fabulous designers. Jenn DiSpirito & Janet Friesen.  These two ladies are so talented and we will miss them.
With the leaving of 2 designers that means we must fill these spots so The Inspired Scrapbooker is looking for 3 new designers to join us.  If you're interested in this you can learn more about the details & requirements by clicking HERE.

It's been a very busy week.  Kids going places, doing things, getting hurt & staying home, etc.  Plus I have tons of kitting to do for classes at my LSS and for Creative Expo and Crop 4 Kids plus a few retreats I'm teaching at the next 2 months as well.  So, it's a bit nuts around here.  I'm thankful that I have an understanding & VERY helpful hubby.

Before I leave I'll just share a few layouts that I did for SSZ as this was my last month at Scrap Shotz.  I designed projects for the kit insert this month using the new Cosmo Cricket line, Love Earth.

I'll share some more later on.

I've got to go & get instructions printed off for a retreat I'm teaching at tomorrow. Scrapbook Fanatics. If you're in the area I'd love to see you there!!

Happy Wednesday!

Wednesday already. Wow! My kids are loving school and doing well.  That makes me happy.

Do you want to take some fun new classes?? Do you live in the lower mainland area? Then you don't want to miss out on this event.

BC's Creative Expo is October 15-17, 2009.  There's a ton of fabulous instructors teaching this year like Cathy Allan, Vicki Boutin, Trisha Ladouceur, Gail Pierce-Watne, Vicki Chrisman and many more! (oh, and l'il old me! ;))  If you're interested in any of these classes make sure to sign up very soon as classes are selling quickly and you don't want to miss out on this event!

Just sharing another layout that I had published in the CSB Vol#1 reprint.  A picture of my daughter on her first day of Gr.1.  Hard to believe that she went into Gr.4 this year!!! Yikes!!

Have a fabulous day!!

4 days down!

Well, my little JJ has been to Kindergarten now for 4 days! He loved it! I'm so glad.  I admit my mornings are awfully quiet now.  No little one chattering away at me, making car noises, or asking me when we're going to pick up K&R.  At least not until after lunch. ;)

I've been busy kitting for my class at Clipper Street tomorrow. It's going to be fun!
And after I pick up Kailyn from school today we're having a b-day party for her with her friends.  We're going to a ceramic shop where the girls are going to paint some figures, eat some munchies & cake.  She was so excited this morning.  And it's a beautiful day today!!! I love it!

Before I close here today I'll leave you with a layout that I created for the Inspired Scrapbooker (and used it for my monthly DT work for Core'dinations).

Got Sketch

I was asked to contribute again this month to GOT SKETCH blog and Valerie has create yet another amazing sketch.

Here's my take on the sketch.

Please check out the other takes because they are all so unique. I love how each designer did something different from the sketch. So fun!

1,2,3, Go!!

It's that time again.
I've got a class this coming Saturday at Clipper Street.  I'm excited because it's in the new store.  So fun!  So when the kids are at school this week I'll be kitting away & enjoying a few hours of quietness in the mornings.

Here's a peek at my class.  It's a layout class and we'll be creating 3 single paged layouts.  They're simple but have some great detail and we'll be using The Slice by Making Memories for many of the embellishments and titles as well as the beautiful new collection of papers by Upsy Daisy Designs.

Hope you've been enjoying your long weekend.  We're having a nice relaxing day today with just a few errands to do before the 1st day of school tomorrow.

More classes

I've been working on some more classes as I've been asked to teach at some more retreats in the next few months.  Definitely keeps me busy and I love it!

This month, September 25-27th, I'll be teaching at Scrapbook Fanatic retreat in Mission.
Here's a look at the 2 classes I'll be teaching. If you live in the area make sure to check it out.  I hear that sales are going very well!

"Pretty in Pink"
A card class using Paper Trunk's "Oh Baby" collection.  We'll create 6 cards in total.
"Give Thanks" mini album.
This album will contain pictures & journaling of things, people, etc that you are thankful for.

Tomorrow is my daughter's 9th birthday!! Yikes!! Nine years old!! I can't believe it!  Time is just zipping by.  She's pretty excited to have 2 parties this year.  We kind of have to sometimes because her birthday is at the beginning of the school year it makes it hard to have a party.  So, we decided to have a family one and then a friend one a week later. So she's quite happy about that.

Well, I'm off. Got some errands to run and a house to tidy up.
Have a super long weekend!
