Punches

Oh I love my punches! I know this is so true ... because I'm running out of room to store them! Sad, I know. I had a bit of fun yesterday created a page.
The Inspired Scrapbooker had a fabulous challenge today of the designers. We were asked to use 3 or more punches or show unique ways to use them.
You've got to check out what the girls created - they're amazing!

Here's what I created.

Supplies: Pink Paislee (patterned papers, rub-ons, diecuts, chipboard, alpha stickers), Fiskars border punches & scallop circle punches, Bazzill Basics cardstock

I added some close-ups shots on The Inspired Scrapbooker as well.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Fun stuff!

Just got a package filled with some Imaginisce goodies!!! Oooh, I can't wait to play. (just waiting for that creative bug to come by - seems to have disappeared for a few days!). I always love receiving packages in the mail - it's like Christmas!!

I wanted to let my faithful readers know that I have a few kits left from "Let's Get Krafty" - a layout workshop that I taught a few weekends ago. I don't have many left so if you're interested please shoot me an email (cari_locken@yahoo.ca) and I'll give you more info.
Here's the class I'm talking about.

Well, that's it for now.

I did it!!!

So, I finally have a little shop!! Yep! I did it! I've got me an etsy shop!

Here's a LINK to my store front called Paper Sentiments. I'm still completely new to all of this but I thought I'd give a try. My shop will feature many cards that I've made throughout the past months and occasionally I'll put a few other items of interest up.
I'm trying to figure out how to get a banner made & put up but everything I'm doing isn't working so if you've got some helpful suggestions I'm all ears!!
So, I'd love for you to pop by and take a look around. Not much in there right now but it'll come.

Had a fun morning teaching a Christmas card class up at Loon Lake this morning. My daughter had fun coming with me as my little helper too.

If you're interested I do have a few kits left ... but not many! So if you plan on making some christmas cards this season then this kit will help you check 6 off your list. It comes complete with instructions. So, if you're interested give me a shout at cari_locken@yahoo.ca and I'll give you more details.

Have a great weekend!

Rainy Tuesday

Well, this morning we got up, got the kids ready for school, took them to school and sat in their Remembrance Day assembly. My daughter's class was responsible for the assembly and they did a great job. Every one had to write a short paragraph of why they remember this day and read it aloud. I was so proud of my daughter because she had written her thoughts down so clearly and then read it so well. Yes, ... a proud mommy moment.

Just thought I'd share another layout that I did this past weekend.

Supplies used: Pink Paislee (patterned papers, chipboard alpha, chipboard elements, rub-ons, alpha stickers), Prima rhinestone swirls, Bazzill Basics cardstock, ribbon, EK Success butterfly punch, Fiskars border punch

Well, off to check on the coffee cake that I've got in the oven. Mmmm ... smells so yummy in my house right now. A perfect smell on a rainy & wet day outside.

Just saying ...

Supplies used: Bazzill Basics cardstock, Imaginisce patterned paper & pearls, scalloped oval & oval punches (EK Success), ribbon (Michaels), border punch (Fiskars), Stampin' Up journal stamp, "Hi" & butterfly stamps (Chatterbox)

Just thought I'd pop on to say "hi".

I was busy kitting the last 2 days and took a break from scrappy stuff today to look around & get some christmas shopping done. But I wasn't very successful. I always have great intentions to get it done early but I'm already feeling like it might not happen ... yet again. Oh well. At least I got a few ideas today and 1 thing purchased.

Only a week or so left until I teach at Scrapping Away retreat in Harrison Hot Springs and if you're going and are interested in taking any of my classes please make sure to email me soon as spots are almost full!! I'm very excited about these classes and I'm looking forward to teaching them.

Oh, and make sure to check my blog tomorrow for something exciting I'm going to share!!
