A busy week.

Well, this past week I have had to work on getting 12+ layouts done! Nothing like a bit of pressure eh? I still have some more to finish up today so hopefully it will be a good one.

Just thought I'd share a few projects that I worked on for Black River Designs.

Supplies used: Black River Designs patterned paper and rub-ons, Offray ribbon, Cuttlebug embossing templates, Core'dinations cardstock, Colorbox fluid chalk ink

The DT's challenge this month was to create a mini album. So I designed one of my daughter and just used 1 word to describe her on each page along with a small photo. Very simple to put together & create - and assembled it all together with my Bind- it All.
Supplies used: Black River Designs patterned paper and rub-ons, EK Success punches, May Arts ribbons, buttons, Stampin' up stamp, Bind-it-all o-wires & machine, Scenic Route chipboard "K".

I'll share more next week.
Hope you have a great weekend and safe Halloween!

Crop 4 Kids!

Well, I'm off today to go and teach at BC's Crop for kids in Abbotsford. I'm excited to teach my classes as I've got great sponsors to work with again this year.
I'm also looking forward to meeting everyone in my classes. I'm going to make sure that I take my camera this time. I can't tell you how many times I've missed taking pictures of my students and their finished projects. To me, that's so exciting to see them finish their projects. So, get ready girls, my camera will be in hand.

Here's what I'm teaching today.
"Season's Greetings" Christmas card class sponsored by Black River Designs and Memory Workshop. We'll be creating 7 cards.

"Fun with Fancy Pants" layout class sponsored by Scrap Shotz. We'll be creating 2 layouts (1 double page and 1 single page)

Tomorrow I'll be teaching this mini album class "Crazy for Color" sponsored by Paper Trunk, Midnight Oil and Memory Workshop.

Have a great weekend!!

I'm back!

Last weekend I was teaching at BC's Creative Expo and it was great!!! My classes went well, the students loved their projects and we all had a great time! It was fun to see some old friends as well & spend some time together!

Now I'm finishing up my kitting for this coming weekend where I'll be teaching at BC's Crop 4 Kids. I'm looking forward to this event as it's always so organized and it's for a super cause! They raised so much money last year for the Children's hospital that I'm excited to see what happens this year.

I thought I'd share with you one of the classes that I'll be teaching at Clipper in November & December. I'm continuing on with the 1,2,3 Go class and this session I'll be teaching a christmas/holiday themed class where we create 3 single paged layouts and have some fun using the Cuttlebug and embossing templates.

Well, that's it for today! Have a great week!

Tomorrow's the day!

Tomorrow is the 1st day of BC's Creative Expo!
I'm looking forward to seeing some scrappy friends & meeting new ones. There's some great classes happening this weekend and fabulous instructors as well. If you live in the area make sure you check it out and even sign up for a class ... or two.
Here's a link to the classes that I'll be teaching there.

Class registrations are going well for Scrapping Away retreat at Harrion in November. If you're interested in these classes here's a LINK to register.

And here's a look at what I'll be teaching there.

"Merry & Bright" - a christmas card class using the new My Mind's Eye papers.
"Let's Get Krafty" - a layout class (3 single pages) using the new Krafty collection from Paper Trunk

It's raining here and I think I might go for a short run. I like running in the rain. It's rather refreshing.
Anyways, have a great day!

Some pics

Yesterday morning as I was getting watching the weather I heard that there was snow in Edmonton. I'm sorry my Alberta friends but I have to admit that I don't miss that stuff and we had a beautiful day yesterday ... and I think another one is planned for today!

Here are some pictures I took yesterday after we picked Ryan up from school. Yes, my other 2 were feeling considerably better. Plus fresh air does the body good. Hopefully they'll be up for school today!

To my Canadian friends I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving! I'm looking forward to the weekend and giving thanks for all that we have.

Sick kids & a sneak peek

Yes, the sickies have hit our household. Kailyn stayed home yesterday from school with a cold and is home again along with Jayden who's got the sniffles as well. I don't like having my kids go to school with running noses & sneezing. I'd hate to know that they spread their germs to other kids ('cause I hate it when it happens to my kids!)

We're having a beautiful fall here. It's just so wonderful. I really need to get out & take pictures though. I've been so busy with classes that I keep forgetting to just enjoy the days outside.

I finished up another class yesterday that I'll be teaching in November at Scrapping Away retreat in Harrison.

Here's a peek.
It's a layout workshop where we'll be creating 3 single page layouts using the new Krafty collection from Paper Trunk. It's just so pretty ... but then again it's kraft colored so I'm going to love it anyways!!
Well, off to get the kids some lunch.

I love fall!

I really do. I love the crisp air and the changing color of the leaves, the smells of comfort food and wearing cozy sweaters again. I love it! And today is just one of those beautiful fall days. The sun is shining, the trees look beautiful and it's definitely going to be a day for a good run this afternoon. (at least that's my intention- it's been a while since I went for a good run so I really should go today).

I had a great day yesterday teaching up at Loon Lake. The ladies were fabulous & so fun to teach! Looking forward to seeing you again in November! ;)
I have a couple kits left over so if you're interested please email me and I'll give you the pricing details.

October already!

Wow! Where did September go?? The kids are enjoying school and their teachers so that makes me happy. Ryan started soccer this year for the 1st time and loves it! Of course, it helps that his daddy is assistant coach! Kailyn is taking Musical Theatre and being the drama queen that she is  she is thoroughly enjoying the classes. And JJ our little fish is starting swimming lessons again next week! So we're busy and it seems we're on the go all the time!

I had a great day last Saturday at Scrapbook Fanatics teaching.  The ladies were super and it was nice to get out!
I'm off again this weekend to Loon Lake for The Ultimate Scrapbook Retreat. I love teaching there! The students are so much fun!!! ;) and it's just so peaceful there.

I'll be teaching the same 2 classes again.
"Give Thanks" mini album
and "Pretty in Pink" card class (using Paper Trunk papers)

Make sure to keep your eyes open as I've been working on some more new classes for November & December.  I'll post those later on. But I will leave you with a little peek of a christmas card class that I'll be teaching at Scrapping Away Retreat in November at Harrison Hot Springs.

Well, that's it for now. Off to do some more kitting and listen to the rain.
Enjoy your day!
