Friday already!!

Yikes! I can't believe how fast this week went by! Friday already.

Today my kids have a pro-D day - so no school. Do you think they'd sleep in like they usually do on a school day??? NO WAY!!! The boys were up even earlier than they usually are. I don't mind that really but I do wish that they would learn to whisper! At least Kailyn is still sleeping away.

Tomorrow is NSD. National Scrapbooking Day! I love that!!! Imaginisce will be having their new sketch challenge posted on their BLOG tomorrow and I'll have more details about that on my blog tomorrow. Plus there's a ton of challenges, blog hops and prizes happening all over the place from personal blogs to manufacturer blogs. So make sure to check them out. I'm hoping to get a bit of scrapping done myself but we'll see how the day goes and whether or not the kids will occupy themselves nicely for an hour or so.

Have you seen Canadian Scrapbooker's webisode #4 yet? If not, check it out HERE. By the way hose are my cards at the beginning. ;) Plus they post about some prizes and giveaways often so you really should check the blog out.

I've been working on cleaning & reorganizing my scraproom this past week and it's slowly coming together. I moved things around like my desk, etc and I really like it now. I just want to add some "pretty" things now and decorate the room a bit more. I'm not painting it right now even though I'd love to change the color and brighten the space up. But I'd like to make some curtains or something so hopefully that will happen so. I'll make sure to take some pics and post those soon.

Before I close here I'll just leave you with a layout that I made for Imaginisce using the new "To Love & Cherish" collection and some Core'dinations cardstock. It's a picture of my hubby & me a few years ago (I hate how I look but it's a fun pic).

Supplies used: Imaginisce ("To Love & Cherish collection: Patterned papers, ribbon, flower, rub-ons), Core'dinations cardstock, Prima rhinestones

Hope you have a great Friday!

The weekend is over!

I still can't believe how fast this last week went by and now the weekend is over too! Yikes!
Had fun with the kids yesterday at the pool! They wore themselves out though and fell asleep so quickly last night. Love that! (the only part I didn't like was wearing a bathing suit!!!)

Do you know someone that has suffered (or is suffering) with breast cancer? Do you live in the lower mainland/vancouver area? Do you scrapbook?
Then you might be interested in this event! Stamp Out Breast Cancer is a scrapbooking weekend with proceeds from the event going to the Breast Cancer Foundation and it's happening the weekend of May 15th & 16th. It's happening at the Granville Island Hotel. This whole event is being sponsored by I'm Impressed Paper Arts Ltd, (a fabulous store in Granville Island). This was actually my very first stamping store that I walked into almost 15 years ago!!! Yes! It's been around for a while - that's why it's so fabulous!!! Here's a link to their blog - CLICK HERE. I'm thrilled to be teaching 2 classes at this event on the Saturday and I'd love to see you there!

Before I go I'll leave you with a layout that I did last week For Imaginisce using the newest collection - To Love & Cherish.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (papers, flowers, rub-ons, stickers, ribbons), Core'dinations cardstock, Fiskars punch, Basic Grey (chipboard alphas)

Have a great Monday!

Ninabrook Designs

Have you heard of them? Ninabrook Designs is a kit club based in Ontario, Canada. Great kits to choose from and great prices. Plus they're having a huge blow out sale starting today. So make sure to check them out.

I was asked to create with the Priceless kit and here's what I came up with. The kit comes with instructions to complete a 2 page layout. I created my own single paged layouts.

The only additional supplies/tools that I used were:
decorative scissors, punches, ink, hole punch and brown marker

Check out the work some of the other designers created:

Some TLC!

Imaginisce is having a release party for their newest collection - TLC - "To Love & Cherish". If you haven't seen the projects that some of the DT have been revealing then you need to pop on over to the Imaginisce blog because these projects are amazing!!!
Every day the girls keep posting more new projects to their blogs so make sure you check them out.

I had a chance to play with the new collection yesterday and was able to create 2 layouts. Now, keep in mind, this collection is technically a wedding theme but I chose not to use it for that. Mostly because I really don't want to redo my wedding photos. Photos these days just seem to look so much better than mine did 12 years ago.

Anways, here's one of the layouts that I created. (I'll share the other one next time). These are older pictures of my daughter from a couple of years ago but I really liked them with this collection.

I used the "Flower" snag 'em stamps on white cardstock and colored the centers with a Tombow marker. The center of the Imaginisce flowers were attached with a circle of embossed Core'dinations Black Magic cardstock and then a brad (using the i-top tool). So fun!

Supplies used: Imaginisce TLC collection (papers, stamps, flowers, i-top tool & brad daddies), Core'dinations cardstock (Black Magic), Tombow markers, American Crafts Thickers

Hope you have a fabulous day!

I'm home ...

Well, I was home at nights just not around during the days for this past weekend!
I had a blast working in the Canadian Scrapbooker booth & teaching my classes at The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival in Abbotsford. I loved spending time with Katharina and Leica! You girls are the best! Thanks for so much laughter. It was the perfect medicine.
And thank you to all the wonderful ladies that took my classes. I hope that you enjoyed yourselves. You all did a fabulous job with your projects.

On Friday night Katharina, Leica and myself were invited by Jessie to come by her store, Cherish The Thought. Oh my! This store is so unique and quaint! I just loved it. We were served a piping hot latte and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies! A perfect way to my heart Jessie! Thanks so much for inviting us there. We then went out for Thai food afterwards and had the best time. Delicious food and lots of fun stories to share.

I took yesterday off and did absolutely nothing scrap-related! I slept in and then hung out with my family. Mom phoned us up to have lunch at their place and then Tim & I went bike riding with our kiddos because it was such a beautiful day.

Today was time to get back into routine however. After dropping the kids off at school, helping with library, the laundry was in full swing and I did some dusting, dishes and vacuming. Phew!
Then I finally had a chance to sit down, catch up on my emails and do a bit of scrapping. As I type this now I realize that I actually finished 3 layouts! Not too bad, if I say so myself!

That's it for now.
I'll leave you with a layout that I did a few weeks ago.

Supplies: Core'dinations Impressions Cosmo Cricket collection, October Afternoon patterned papers, diecut and sticker, American Crafts Thickers, Scotch3M black photo corners

Have a great day!

A rainy day

Well, it's a rainy day today. Quite gray out but I won't complain because we had a wonderful weekend and I'm so thankful that the rain held off on Sunday. I have always liked getting dressed up for Easter Sunday and was thankful that they're were no puddles for the kids to stomp in as they looked so nice in their spring clothes.

Here's a picture of all the grandkids with my parents. Don't they look so cute?
My mom sewed the girls dresses and she bought all the boys some bright spring colored shirts. It was actually quite cute on Sunday morning because my kids were up bright & early and got dressed themselves. They were actually quite excited to get dressed up in their new duds!

After a morning church service we (my family) went out for brunch. This is the second year we've gone and it's been a fun time for the kids as there is face painting and a magician. It was very nice & relaxing time.

So, on this rainy day I've got plans to get my hair cut! Yeah! I love a new cut. Always feel so fresh & cleaned up afterwards. Then I'll pick up JJ and we'll go to the library for a bit and home for lunch. I've got a few (just a few! ;)) scrappy assignments to get started on.

Oh, and just a reminder to those of you who live in the lower mainland area about The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival happening April 16th & 17th in Abbotsford, BC.

There will be lots of great make n' takes at various booths and Canadian Scrapbooker magazine will have a variety of them happening as well. Plus there's some great classes to check out and sign up for! ;) So make sure to sign up soon as classes are almost full!

In fact, here's a class that I'm excited to be teaching at this event. If you decide to sign up for this one I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed! This kit is packed full of amazing product!!!! Seriously. Packed!
Oh, before I sign off here just wanted to let you know that there's a new webisode on Canadian Scrapbooker website. Make sure to check it out! It's great!

Have a fabulous day!

April Sketch

Wow!! How time flies. It feels like just yesterday that I posted my March sketch for Imaginisce.
Congratulations to Sophia Allison who won the March sketch contest!! Your layout is beautiful!! Enjoy your goodies! ;)

Well, we've got another new amazing sketch for April created by Aphra Boyler.
Here's her fabulous sketch.

And here's my take on it. I used the new "Live Loud" collection on this layout.

Supplies used: Imaginisce "Live Loud" collection (papers, stickers, rub-ons), buttons, Fiskar border punch, Core'dinations cardstock (blue is Core'Impressions Cosmo Cricket Collection)

If you've been playing along with these sketches then you probably know the drill. However, if this is your first time here's what you need to do.

Hop on over to Imaginisce's blog .... HERE ... and look for the list of designers that created layouts from this sketch. Click on their names and leave a comment on each of their blogs for your chance to win a fabulous prize from Imaginisce! The more blogs that you comment on - the more chances you have to win! The winner (just for being a fan) will be announced April 15th!

A second way to win a prize is where the fun comes in. This sketch challenge is open to everyone! You can create a layout or card using 75% Imaginisce product from this sketch & then post a link to your blog or online gallery on Imaginisce's blog post HERE using Mister Linky before April 25th. The winner will be featured on the blog and win their choice of an i-top tool package or $75 prize pack!!
Now how fun is that??!!

Have fun with the sketch!
