Mr. Nutcracker

I'm so excited to share this new holiday creation that I made.
Isn't he just the cutest?

I'm up on the Imaginisce blog today sharing this Nutcracker that I created using THIS cut file from SVG Cuts and the new christmas collection, Colors of Christmas from Imaginisce.

He stands approx. 12" high and is about 3 1/2" wide.

I used some white Core'dinations cardstock and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder (for the beard).
I also some large clear rhinestones (part of the Colors of Christmas collection) on his chest.

I tied some twine (The Twinery) around the top edge of his boots and some May Arts ribbon around the bottom portion of the stand.

For the boots and hat I used Core'dinations Core Couture in white ("White Gloves").

I used the i-rock tool to adhere some white & turquoise colored Glam Rocks on his hat and some small black ones for his eyes.

I also used some Core'dinations Glitter Silk cardstock (red) for some sparkle and added texture.
It was super easy to put together and I just love how it turned out.

Supplies used: Imaginisce (Colors of Christmas: patterned papers, rhinestones, glam rocks (white, black & turquoise glimmer), i-rock tool, i-bond tool); Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock; Silhouette Cameo; SVG cut file, Xyron (1.5" and 2" Create-a-Sticker machine; Sookwang double sided tape

So excited!!!

For the first time ever in my scrapbooking 'career' I have a project on the FRONT COVER of a magazine!!! I am so thrilled!!!

I was excited when Scrapbook Trends contacted requesting the album for publishing but then when I got the email a few months ago asking a bit more information because it might possibly be on the front cover ... I was even more excited!! And I've had to wait forever to share this news!

I really enjoyed creating this mini album. It's full of pictures of my family.  I used Simple Stories Vintage Bliss collection and Core'dinations Colorcore cardstock, along with some May Arts ribbons.

You can download the digital copy of the magazine HERE from Northridge Publishing

Imaginisce December challenge

Imaginisce has a fun Monthly Challenge for December.

Check it out HERE.
If you happen to have some Imaginisce collections I invite you to play along.

Here's my take on the challenge (use non-christmas/holiday themed papers, etc to create a Christmas/ holiday card or layout).

I used patterned papers from the new Love You More collection (stripes and red chevron design) and also from Hello Cupcake (red polka dot) and the chipboard sticker is from Sole Sisters.

I embellished the chipboard oval shape with some sparkly red Glam Rocks and added some May Arts ribbon along with a pin and a stamped sentiment/flag.

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful weekend.
Now I'm off to pull out the christmas decorations and start decorating our home!
