Imaginisce's Bon Voyage Release Party & Got Sketch Express 2 - Sketch #1

Today the Imaginisce blog is having a release party for the new Bon Voyage collection. If you haven't seen it then you need to hop on over to the Imaginisce website and check it out!

It's a fabulous travel line perfect for any vacation - but it's perfect for just about anything as you will clearly see from the variety of projects that the Design Team will be sharing for this entire week.

*****

Valerie Salmon has created a sketch blog called Got Sketch. She provides fantastic sketches that you can use for inspiration when creating your own layouts. I love them!
She has done various classes before and I was thrilled to take part in Club Got Sketch this past summer.

She now has another one called Got Sketch Express 2 and it starts today.
So sketch #1 is up!!
If you've registered you've seen the awesome sketch that Valerie has created.
If you haven't registered you really should!! You will be so happy with the sketches.

Here's my take on Sketch #1.

The black cardstock is from the new Core'dinations Spotted collection and comes pre-embossed with dots everywhere! I love it! I just sanded around the edge of the paper design on some of the dots to create a border effect.

Supplies used: Core'dinations new Spotted cardstock, Paper Trunk (Jellybean collection patterned papers, letter stickers, Maya Road sheer journal circle, some K&Company chipboard pieces, Divine Twine (turquoise), Ek Success border punch

Happy Monday & Hope you have a great week!

It's Friday!!!

I Love Fridays!! (plus it was a great day yesterday as I got a few emails requesting some projects for publication! Always love those emails!)

Have a few things to share as I haven't posted much this week - been busy.

Here's a layout from Club Got Sketch that was posted this past Monday. It was a double page sketch but I made mine into a one pager.

Supplies used: Core'dinations Cardtsock Imaginisce patterned paper and stickers, Divine Twine, Cuttlebug embossing folder, punches (EK Success & Fiskars), alpha stickers (Scenic Route), 3L (foam squares)

We've got one more sketch to go and it will be on Monday. Wow! 8 weeks just flew by! Thanks Valerie for so many amazing sketches. I had so much fun creating my layouts.

Here's a card I made a little while back.

Supplies used: Core'dinations Cardstock, Fiskars stamp (Sentiment) & punches (oval, scallop oval, swirl, corner border), 3L (foam squares)

I used the scallop oval punch to make the petals of the flower. The oval I punched out of dark brown cardstock and embosssed then lightly sanded the embossed image. I hand stitched the flower stem and added leaves using the swirl punch. I stamped the sentiment with a Fiskars stamp.

AND FOR THOSE OF YOU ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR THE CORE'DINATIONS DT ANNOUNCEMENT ... stay tuned as it will be made on National Scrapbooking Day - this Saturday May 7th!!! I CAN'T WAIT to see who makes the new team!!!!

Another new sketch & Release Week at Imaginisce

Today another sketch is revealed on Club Got Sketch.

Again Valerie has done an awesome job. I decided to rotate the sketch in order to work with my photos.

I can't believe that we only have 3 more sketches to go and then we're done! The time has just flown by and I've loved every sketch. I'm always challenged with those double pagers though - but that's a good thing as I need a bit of a challenge and it's fun to use a whack load of photos as well.

Supplies used: Core'dinations Cardstock, Basic Grey (patterned papers, die-cut stickers), Fiskars border punch, 3L (foam squares & tape runner)

Hope you had a great weekend. We had some beautiful weather and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the sunshine here!

Mark your calendars - next week Imaginisce will be having another release party for the new I-rock embellishments and you won't want to miss seeing those!! They're fabulous!
Plus on Thursday & Friday (21st & 22nd) the Imaginisce blog will be sharing some projects using Clear Scraps albums - the Design Team will share examples of how they've used various Imaginisce tools on the acrylic albums... and trust me ... this is another 2 days you don't want to miss.

WARNING:LONG POST!! New sketch and Jenni Bowlin/Core'dinations Week, Imaginisce monthly challenge

Hi there!

So I'm back (even though I didn't really go very far this time) from a wonderful weekend of teaching and working in the Canadian Scrapbooker booth at The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival this past weekend!! We had an awesome weekend! Many wonderful things to see & do and our classes (both Christy & mine) went really well! Thanks to everyone that attended!

Here's some pictures of our weekend.
The Loonie Make & Take Bar - this was always super busy!
Canadian Scrapbooker Booth
Christy teaching a class.
Gyoza - oh yum!!! Our last night together we just enjoyed appetizer after appetizer!!
Christy, Sonja, me & Katharina - Cheers!
Today Sketch #3 is revealed on Club Got Sketch. I loved this sketch! And as I've mentioned before I can't show the sketch but this is my layout from the sketch. I stayed quite true to the design.

Supplies used: Core'dinations Cardstock, Imaginisce (patterned papers, i-rock tool and Glam Rocks), Divine Twine, Cricut Expressions and Birthday Bash cartridge

I had been wanting to scrap these photos of my youngest Kindergarten grad from last year and was so happy with how they worked with this sketch. Thanks Valerie for another fabulous sketch.

Another fun thing happening this week (April 4th-8th) is a blog swap with Jenni Bowlin and Core'dinations!! As you know these 2 companies have teamed together and Core'dinations has created cardstock that goes along with Jenni Bowlin's papers! They're so fun!

Here's some projects that I have created.

Supplies used: Core'dinations Cardstock (Impressions Jenni Bowlin collection), Jenni Bowlin (patterned papers, stickers, buterflies, buttons, cards) Divine Twine, Fiskars border punch

Under the photo is where I placed some hidden journal. So I basically made a flap that you lift up and then can read my journaling.

Supplies used: Core'dinations cardstock, Jenni Bowlin (patterned papers, buttons, butterflies, stickers), circle punch (EK Success)

Supplies used: Core'dinations cardstock (Jenni Bowlin Impressions collection), Jenni Bowlin (patterned papers, stickers), Fiskars border punch, seam binding, button, stamps (Hero Arts), oval punches (EK Success)

Make sure to check out the Core'dinations blog every day this week to check out all of the wonderful projects created by the Design Team. Oh, and don't forget about the current design team call that is going on right now. Details are posted on the blog.

Another fun thing happening today ... because Monday's are just so full of excitement aren't they?? You have to check out Imaginisce's blog today because it's our Monthly Challenge. Some designers will be posting their work today and then half way through the month more projects for this same challenge will be revealed.

This month's challenge was to do some paper piecing. You can paper piece in a variety of ways from stamping images over & over and layering them, using a Cricut machine to piece together images (as I did), use punches to create designs, etc . The possibilities are endless. I loved this challenge because I've been using my Cricut more & more these days and I'm having so much fun!!

Here's what I created for this challenge. Who would have thought that wedding paper would work for a hockey layout??? It totally does! I used "To Love & Cherish" paper (black & white) for the background, and some patterned papers from the "Dino Roar", Scooter's Vacation and Animal Crackers!

Supplies used: Imaginisce (papers, sticker), Core'dinations cardstock, Cricut Expression & All Sports cartridge

You can play along with this challenge as well. You must use at least 75% Imaginisce product and then you'll be entered to win a fabulous i-top package worth $75 or a range of fabulous products from Imaginisce. If you leave a comment on the blog you'll have a chance to win an i-rock and accesories! How cool is that?? COOL!!!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a fabulous day!!!

Got Sketch #2 and a great weekend event!

So Club Got Sketch sketch #2 went live yesterday and I love it! Valerie Salmon does an awesome job with these sketches. This sketch had 9 photos!

Here's my take on the sketch. (sorry I cannot share the sketch with you) I was actually a bit worried to do a two-pager because it's been a while but this was a good challenge for me and I'm happy with my layout.
Supplies used: Core'dinations cardstock, Cuttleubug embossing folder, Imaginisce (patterned papers, i-rock tool to adhere Glam Rocks), Cricut machine and Birthday Bash cartridge, Paper Trunk (Black alpha letter stickers)

There's still time to play along & I'd love for you to join in on the fun as these sketches are just fabulous! Click HERE for more info. And the Got Sketch contributor team are having a wonderful time creating from these. I love all the different interpretations.

Do you live in the lower mainland area and are you looking for something to do this coming weekend? Then come to The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival in Abbotsford, BC April 1st & 2nd. There's a ton of exciting things to see and great classes to participate in as well.
