Have you finished yours?

SO, how many of you enjoy making your christmas cards each year? I admit that I do and I don't. I love coming up with the ideas and actually working on them but I usually leave it to the last minute and then I feel so rushed to get them done.
And ... it's happened again this year. I haven't even started.

I'm sure though that there are some of you who are in the same boat. So, I want to help you out a bit.

I have some "Holiday Wishes" christmas card kits left over from some classes that I've taught. This kit is full of the new Cottage Christmas from Imaginsce and lovely Core'dinations Cardstock and you will create 7 cards. You won't be disappointed.
PDF instructions and color photos will be included via email if you buy the kits.

So, if you're in the mood for card making and want to check something off your long list of things to do for the holidays now's your chance!

Kits are $20.00 each.
2 kits are $35.00 or
3 kits are $50
(*note* these are Canadian prices)

Please email me at cari_locken@yahoo.ca if you're interested.

Let's celebrate!!!

I am still amazing at how quickly the past 5 years have gone by. I still remember getting that email from Jackie asking me if I'd like to be a part of an amazing dream that she had to start up a Canadian scrapbook magazine. I was thrilled!! And have been so blessed to be a part of such an incredibly talented team.

If you've had the chance to look at these magazines then you already know that it is amazing. An idea book filled with amazing Canadian content, designers and manufacturers. The quality is top notch and focuses on a variety of techniques, ideas, themes will little advertising.

So in honor of Canadian Scrapbooker's 5th birthday I am going to give away the special 5th Anniversary Collector's Edition Winter 2010/11 issue. And just so you know ... this issue cannot be found in stores - it's for subscribers only.

All you have to do is leave me a comment - about whatever!
And if you'd like to follow my blog that would be great too!

I'll leave this open for comments until midnight PST on Sun., Dec. 5th .
I will announce the winner shortly after that.

Roly Posies

I realize that I just posted this layout earlier but I wanted to point out the flowers on it. I used the new Roly Rosies & Fashion Brights (flowers) by Imaginisce on the page.

Supplies used: Core'dinations cardstock, Imaginisce (Enchanted collection: papers, die-cuts, stickers), Roly Rosies and pink flowers by Imaginisce, butterfly punch (Martha Steward), i-top brad & tool by Imaginisce

They are just so much fun to use and come in such pretty patterned papers. They are already die-cut into a wonderful shape. All you have to do is tear them out and start rolling. It's super easy to roll when you use the Petal Roller.
I also wanted to point out that this new collection, Enchanted, from Imaginisce is just beautiful and comes with gorgeous die-cuts that are so easy to use.

I also wanted to share with you a look at some more new stuff from Imaginisce. Yes, more new stuff!!! There's a new collection called Garden Party .
Lots of pretty papers, flowers, stamps, chipboard, stickers and brads!

Well, off to get the kids to school.
Have a great week!!

Today my youngest turns 6!! Wow!!! My baby is growing up and I seriously just want him to stay 5 years old. I don't want him to get bigger. He's so much fun right now and I love seeing what he's learning everyday and how exciting new things are for him. Still can't believe that he's six though.

Red Poppies

Today is Remembrance Day and I'm so thankful to all those men & women who have served in the wars of this world. I often think of my own grandparents who drove airplanes, fixed the engines, delivered mail and often had to hide in the ditches or under bridges from the bombs dropping down from up above. I can't even begin to imagine how terrifying that must have been.

We wear red poppies on this day to be reminded of those that fought and many who gave their lives. Fittingly enough, myStampBOX has a blog post today that has to do with the color red. When I was working on my card I found that the stamp reminded me of the red poppies.

I actually used Birthday Balloons to make the flowers - I just got off the little knob at the bottom of the balloon. After stamping my image with Versamark I used a red embossing powder. I love the effect. I used some ribbon for the flower stems and tied them together with a piece of jute.

Supplies used: Core'dinations Cardstock, myStampBOX (Birthday Balloons & Gush stamp set), Basic Grey ribbon, Fiskars border punch

For more great "red" inspiration check out myStampBOX blog today!
